1760s shoe in pink and purple paisley Victorian dress Charles James uses spiral drapingThis elegant woman's shoe is based on a design from the 1760s; the originals were of painted kid leather. Mine features a buckle in metallic paper, embellished with tiny acrylic rhinestones, each one carefully stitched on by hand. The original shoe is held by the Victoria & Albert Museum (accession 270&A 1891). The shoe is 3. 75 inches wide, stitched by hand on 5x7 inch 100% cotton watercolour paper, which means that it will pop right into any
